What is Economic Freedom?

Economic freedom means to not do anything that one does not want to do, for money, but not letting go of things that one wants to do, due to the lack of it. For example, if a person is not able to leave their work place to take a break, then that person is not free. If a person is having difficulties in sustaining his position or lifestyle, then he has fallen into his own trap and has lost his freedom. Money is a means of our disposition to improve the quality of our lives, assure the older individual with protection in face of the basic insecurity, and give him back his freedom once again. Having freedom and independence to earn a daily living is the greatest luxury that one can aspire for. A real millionaire is a person whose capital and rent does not depend on anybody, and is sufficient to cover his needs and aspirations. From the practical point of view, in the physical plane of our reality, it is impossible to do anything without money. In the world in which we live in, money is the symbol of survival. But it is also the key symbol of one’s ego. Money can be used for bad, as an instrument of power, or to boast of the triumph in front of everyone else. Many evaluate how much they are worth according to how much they posses, or the standard of life they have. We often times find that the favorite theme of the movies is about an evil person that is looking to get ahold of money in order to have a lot of power and subject others, or ingenious robberies of money, but how much of that is fiction and how much is reality? Why is man so eager to get ahold of money, if in the end, getting it is not the absolute guarantee of achieving the main objective in life?
