So what is Happiness?
It is very possible that happiness is a united sensation of very simple things like a life free of obligations that we dislike, a work that is spiritually enlightening, a united family, easy access to satisfaction of the basic needs, the capacity of enjoying a beautiful view, being free of envy, of greed, ambition for having more than is necessary, and above all, not perceiving life like a struggle. Prosperity is much more than simply making money. Prosperity is not only economic richness, since the accumulation of money alone does not resolve deep inner problems. One has to be healthy to be able to enjoy it and to make it continue on producing more riches. It is prosperity that brings riches along with it. It is like finding wealthy people that act as if they were poor, and poor people that behave like they were rich. If somebody is wealthy but not prosperous when they run out of money, they will never have it again. Prosperity is an interior state. Accumulating money can also be an experience of interior growth, since it can allow us to understand the subtleness of life and know the hidden aspects of ourselves. The goal is to achieve a harmonic development center on “being” and not only on “having”. Having must be at the service of being. However, despite everything that has been said, let us remember the main objective of this thought has to do with two things. First of all to accumulate money, for that same reason it was very necessary to be clear about the risks that are involved in having money. The second is in how to obtain those real benefits to be able to develop as integral individuals. The desire to be rich, being understood like the desire of having a more abundant and full life, is something perfectly normal, and there is nothing wrong with that. It is fundamental that we know what it is we desire in life, in order to be able to fix those goals.
