Silver on Short Demand?
The truth be known though, most dealers are not dishonest and have delivered the silver or gold requested from them. Just like a person would do when shopping for something big, well, go to a well known of place and look for a dealer or company that has been in business for a good time and ask around. Most likely you will want to start out small just to be on the safe side and once you know everything is clear, get into the bigger stuff.
Additional to getting precious metals people also have the option of purchasing precious metal from certain places that will hold on to the clients precious metal. Some people feel more comfortable with doing it this way and it is being done more now.
There is also a question that many people that are interested in getting silver have and it has to do with the best type of silver to get. It is suggested that people start out by getting older silver coins. Old silver coins are actually called junk silver.
Usually after a person has been able to get a good idea of how the business works and is very familiar with the coins, he or she could then consider getting silver bars or bullion. One good idea is to start out by getting 100 troy ounce bars, however there are also other smaller sizes of this. Unless you have a good amount of money and are well off, avoid getting into buying huge amounts. 1000 troy ounces for example is simply too much for an everyday investor. Besides this, the 1000 troy ounce bars are mostly used for industries and it would be difficult to get them anyways as they are not available unless and obviously have certain aspects to them (such as the size and weight) that may be somewhat of a hassle to deal with.
A good thing to keep in mind when investing in silver is to be conscious a lot of people that deal silver coins will try to encourage the clients that it is really necessary to get the unusual and rare coins so that they do not get taken away. However this is an issue that should not be taken too seriously since the law according to this is not very clear and precise and there is not any guarantee really as to if rare coins are better to have then bullion coins. There are numismatic dealers that say that since the government took away these type, it is probably going to happen again but it is not actually so.
