Remember that a company that is expanding very rapidly might in some cases have such a need for extra people that they might simply not have any time to train the personnel inside the company for a specific function and might need to seek outside assistance. Not only this but there are many cases in which even the company that is extremely well run will require of an individual that has a specialized skill and that might have to be recruited from outside. There are also cases of individuals that will need to be taken off the activities they normally accomplish, if he already works within in the company that is, in order to fulfill this job. There are times in which a company will require of someone that has expertise in a particular field such as law, science, insurance, etc. remember also that there is an advantage of hiring someone from the outside because this can bring about a new point of view to corporate councils and is a new source of ideas that will always challenge the ones that have already been accepted as the right ones.
