Market Bar Charts

These charts are elaborated by having in account the highest and lowest quotation produced in each stock exchange market session due that for each session you draw a vertical line that indicates the highest and lowest quotation this graphic presents the evolution of the security in form of a series of bars these type of chard are usually dong in weekly periods instead of in days for it each bars are used as a complement to the lineal charts or of the dotted charts in the chart of bars you can also observe the opening and closing quotations for it you draw an horizontal line on the left (opening quotation) and another horizontal line on the right (closing quotation).

A type of chart that is very similar to that of bars is that which is denominated as “candlesticks” these graphics are used in Japan since the middle of the XVII century and they are elaborated in base of your different types of data of the considered period (opening quotation, closing quotation, maximum quotation and minimum quotation) in the “candlestick” the wider line represents the range between the opening quotation and the closing quotation when the closing quotation in higher than that of the opening quotation the wide line is white if on the contrary when the closing quotation is lower than that of the opening quotation, the wide line is black the thinner lines that are above and below the wide line represent the maximum and minimum quotation of the session respectively.
