Five regional markets

Five regional markets (Philadelphia, Boston, Cincinnati, Chicago and the Pacific Exchanges) list regional company stocks for not being large enough to classify, and be included in the rest of the larger markets. These regional markets can also duplicate the list of a same company.

General Electric, for example, is listed in the NYSE and also in many regional markets. The regional markets window in that stock agencies that are not affiliated to the NYSE can have access to these stocks belonging to listed companies that are duplicated. The Pacific Exchange has a high percentage of these negotiated options.

The Philadelphia Exchange negotiates with options, stocks, bonds and currency indexes. If business does not take place in the NYSE or AMEX they can be derived to regional markets so as to get better prices.

A great amount of companies that issue stocks to public could not be listed in any of the above mentioned markets, for many reasons. These are negotiated in parallel markets.
