Computers and the Internet for Investing
Fro example, in spite of its slow initiation at the beginning of the eighties, the companies invested more than 100,000 million dollars in the construction of networks of personal computers and of local area, obtaining in exchange an increase of the productivity of only 1%. But the arrangements of the employees and of the companies on the use of this technology and the accelerations of the rhythm of bettering the computers and the programs made the increase of the productivity to begin to accelerate also up to a point in which at the end of the nineties the economy found itself in a situation of an almost full employment and of a scarcity of workmanship. Situation that in difference with the traditional tonic, signs of inflation did not accompany it. The changes are so fast and its reach is so big that we have them in front of us without even having the opportunity to adapt ourselves to them. All happens so fast that without us being able to adapt completely to the last changes, we see ourselves confronted once again with another new technology. To be able to realize how transcendental of these changes have been, we would have to know something of its history and of one or two analogies.
