A good marketer always needs to be on the look out for the swaying wants of its customers and needs to make sure the company is providing what is wanted now, not what was wanted in the past. However, being able to see the changes that the public wants and then reacting to these changes right away is not the only thing that needs to be done. As has been said in the business world customers will just not go through a path to where he is able to find the best product. In the world we live in it is essential to let the customer know of the advantages of the product or service the company has. Making this understood to the customers is something that can only be done by understanding what the potential buyer really needs or wants and the company needs to learn to be able to explain these things in the language of the buyer not the seller.

Some choose to do so by advertising, by making phone calls, through specialized and independent marketing organizations, as well as through a combination of these, all of which depends on the nature of the business. However what is constantly needed at all times is close control and ongoing managerial measurement of the cost effectiveness no matter what kinds of means are utilized. Not having these outstanding management qualities can cause a significant loss of amount of business that would otherwise be available, in having higher costs and because of this getting less profit on what business is obtained, and due to the companies that have differences in the profitability of several elements of their product line, in not being able to reach the maximum possible profit.
